At Earl Haig Independent Living, you’ll get a dining experience like no other. Every morning, our culinary team provides a continental breakfast. During the day, we provide fresh baked cookies and snacks. Our lunch and dinner options are on an ever-changing menu, with delicious options that our residents crave, such as fresh salmon, garlic prawns with rice, chicken cordon bleu, and juicy hamburgers.

In my dad's own words, "This is heaven - I like the management, the staff and the residents. Plus, the food and entertainment is top-notch, first class. And the building is always nice and clean!

Mom was very happy at Earl Haig and did not want to leave. She is 92 and in long term care and misses everyone. The staff get to know the residence and form connections. I feel that they truly care for the individuals. The management are easy to talk to and easy to work with. I had confidence and reassurance in knowing that my Mom had some independence but did not have to cook her own meals and always had people around her.

The accommodations are modern, spacious, including walk in shower that help supply a decent and dignified home for anybody. One of the many advantages that I have noticed is that there are only 50 apartments which help make it easy to get to know your new neighbours and future friends. This is your home away from home.

Our family found all the staff friendly and a very family home type atmosphere. Everyone new my dad by name (no name tag required) and they new the family as well. I wouldn't hesitate to look at this place if you are wanting a housekeeping and meal preparation type situation.

What I like the best about living at Earl Haig is the family-type atmosphere with tenants and staff - it makes me feel at home. I take pride in the building and enjoy doing what I can to enhance the environment. For example, whenever we collectively finish a jigsaw puzzle I frame it and hang it. So far I've hung around 100 puzzles! I enjoy the food (the majority of which is homemade) and appreciate that we are always offered seconds! And the deserts are excellent...

One great part of living here is that everyone is so friendly and that's important to me. As well, people are helpful and considerate to each other. The staff are very friendly and helpful - to me they are like family. In my opinion, the food ranges from good to excellent. My faves are the fresh salmon, chicken cordon bleu, homemade hamburgers, Garlic Prawns and rice etc. We have a 4 week rotating menu so there's a good variety.

I've lived at the Earl Haig Residence for over 5 years. The staff are very friendly, helpful, honest and caring. The residents are like a family - it's a comfortable, relaxed environment where we truly find our golden years.
